Ok Eric,

Who are you?

A picture of Eric looking all smiley and happy.
That's me An arrow pointing at a handsome looking man.

I'm a software generalist and I primarily work with web-related technologies. Some would call me a 'Full Stack Developer', others, a 'Software Engineer'.

More importantly, I get the most enjoyment in designing and building software that is simple and effective - hard to do, but so satisfying when done right.

What do you do for work?

I make software. Software mostly for the web.

Open to opportunities?

Sort of - I'm freelancing for a client at the moment and I might have capacity for one more project. If you have an interesting problem you need help with, feel free to reach out!

What are you doing now?

Updated May 29, 2026 from Waterloo, Canada.

Currently I'm learning a few things in parallel.

First, electronics and robotics. I've been working through an Arduino starter kit to familiarize myself with a microcontroller and its capabilities when combined with other sensors. Learning new sensors gets me excited about the possibilities of creating something new from combining a few together.

Secondly, I'm working towards building and training some robotics arms. The idea of a machine working autonomously after teaching it something novel sounds incredibly fascinating.

Outside of hardware, I've been experimenting with fermentation-based foods. Homemade yogurt was my start and so far, I've made it with cow, sheep, and goat milk. Sheep milk has been my best so far!

What do you do for fun?

In my travels, I love to climb, slackline, and if possible, surf. Lately, I've developed an interest in outdoor gyms. They're free to use, and free of heart-pounding club music.

Every now and then, I write essays. Essays about life, work, and relationships. It's a great way to have a deeper conversation with myself without any judgement. Most of my writings are private, but maybe I'll make them more public some day.
